Re-Rooting Our Relationship to Help: Reiki to Invite Care into our Lives
05.16.2024
1:00 pm–3:00 pm
With Jennelle Ramdeen, Healing Justice Practitioner
Asking for help, care, or support can sometimes feel uncomfortable and even painful. In this workshop we utilize the healing power of reiki and other somatic methods to understand where this discomfort and pain come from to finally give ourselves permission to be cared for and supported. This space is to find the old roots that make it so uncomfortable to receive the support we need, offer it new nourishment, and watch it sprout into a new way of being. This journey will include journalling, light somatic movement, and partnered sharing all inside of a container filled with reiki healing energy.
Key Workshop Takeaways
Participants will leave with:
- more awareness of their internalized narratives that block them from asking and receiving help
- somatic tools to reset and try again
- create new affirmations and narratives that support asking for help
Before: Prepare to Succeed
- Bring a journal and pen.
- Wear something you feel comfortable doing low-intensity movement in.
