Flowers For Freedom
06.05.2024
6:00 pm–8:00 pm
From sunflowers in Ukraine, to poppies in Palestine, and the ubiquitous olive branch, this workshop explored flowers as symbols of freedom across cultures. Artist Yannik Stevens taught participants how to make individual bouquets using different flowers that have come to represent cries for freedom through various wars, political conflicts and social movements, which participants could then take to their own calls to action or add to their altars of peace.
